What to sort out before a phone project

Existing numbers

Keeping a published number is often possible. It depends on availability, eligibility and approval from the current carrier. It is not automatic, and it is confirmed before the move is scheduled.

Desks and mobile apps

The same extension can be a desk phone and an app when someone is away from the office. Which handsets fit is part of the scope, not an assumption.

Internet and power

A hosted phone needs a working internet connection and power. Backup options for both can be reviewed. The phones do not keep working through an outage unless that backup was planned.

FAQ

Common questions

How is business phone service quoted?

We review the number of users, the numbers you want to keep, your current provider and any equipment requirements. Phone service and any managed IT plan inclusions are confirmed in your quote.

Can we keep our phone numbers?

Often, if the numbers are eligible and the current carrier approves the transfer. FSCS checks that before treating the move as part of the work.

What should we have ready for a quote?

How many people need a phone, which numbers should move, and the name of the current provider. Scope and timing are agreed before work begins.
